How to appreciate cloud photos - Art Appreciation
First of all there are no rules on how to enjoy cloud photos. However, if you find cloud photos boring one of two things may be happening.
- You may be correct and the photo may be a boring photo. The photo may be out of focus or the cloud itself may be boring. For example, if you zoom in too much into a cloud, then you will land up with just a white or gray photo slide. Just like if you have a blank piece of white paper and someone says it's a photo of a snow blizzard.
- You may not be in the right state of mind. You have to consider the scale of clouds to fully appreciate them. Clouds are measured in miles and they are typically bigger than anything created by humans (skyscrapers, luxury cruise ships, oil tankers, sports stadiums, etc.). In addition, there is much detail in most of my cloud photos that you can't pick up in a quick glance. I suggest you sit down with a cup of coffee or your favorite snack before you start viewing my cloud photography artwork.
