IOU Note
What is an IOU note? An IOU (I Owe You) note is a promise written or printed on a piece of paper to pay back a dept. Most IOU's are simple hand written notes between two people. IOU's have been in the news lately because the state of California is now issuing IOU's to pay its bills. However, these IOU's are not your ordinary IOU's because they pay interest to the recipient when they become redeemable.
